Tesla model x new SUV claims to be the safest, quickest and most capable on the market.

Model X comes standard with all-wheel drive, seating for 7, numerous standard active safety features and the ability to accelerate to 0-60 in 2.9 sec currently making it the fastest SUV in production. Not only does it have the power but it has the range to cover up to 295 miles on a single charge! If this doesn’t make you want to make the switch to an electric vehicle what will?

However speed wasn’t the first concern in designing the Model X, safety was. Model X has a total of 8 cameras giving it a full 360 degree vision at all times, coupled with a forward facing radar capable of peering through dense fog and rain giving it the ability to go far beyond our human senses to help prevent accidents when driving. Every Model X comes standard with the most advanced active safety features, including Automatic Emergency Braking, Side Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Autopilot driver assistance capabilities and more. And Model X gets better over time with over-the-air software updates designed to optimize its advanced sensor technology.

Most people like to point out how these falcon wing doors are exotic, but want to mention the function might not be so great. However take a look at how they open. They give full access to the back seat with the ability to fully open in tight spaces such as parking lots. Nothing is worse than being in a new car and having to squeeze into your seat because someone parked to close.

Sure the Model X sounds like the best SUV in existence but the real question is how much is this going to cost?

The Model X comes with a factory invoice of about $83,000 for a 75D and an MSRP of about $85,000. The 90D trim level adds about $12,000 to the MSRP, while the P90D tacks on another $21,000 on top of that increase.

Not the most cost effective SUV on the market but if you want top notch then you shouldn’t expect the Model X to boast top SUV without having to pay for it somehow. Although the price is a turn off for most people it’s at least a step in the right direction in the manufacturing of vehicles.
